No he could not, and in fact, no US president could. NATO is an organization comprised of twenty-eight member countries. One country might decide to withdraw from NATO, but the organization would continue to exist. Thus, even if the US under Mr. Trump left NATO, there would still be many other nations that would continue to participate. As the NATO website says, "NATO’s essential purpose is to safeguard the freedom and security of its members through political and military means." Of course, the US is considered a very important part of NATO, but with or without its participation, other nations would still be members.
Just about anything COULD happen, but this would be a pretty long shot. The US has its own stockpile of thermonuclear weapons, so we're not utterly dependent on NATO to protect us.
Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have never actually met. It is more that Trump's campaign has ties with Putin and a number of leaders in the Trump campaign have received funds from or worked with Russian government officials. There is a line of communication between the Trump campaign and Putin's government, but its exact extent is unclear. It is certainly sufficient enough that Trump has taken a much more Pro-Russian line than is typical of any US candidate for President, such as effectively abandoning Ukraine, questioning NATO's value in protecting the Baltic countries, and arguing that Russia should be unopposed in Syria.
No, he changed his mind about this and now NATO is fine with him.
U.S. forces entered in 2001, but NATO didn't enter until 2003.The U.S. forces are apart of, and are one of the main leaders of NATO, but technically NATO did not enter at the same time the U.S. forces did.
It was the opposite actually, Soviet Unions WARSAW pact was created because of NATO.
The Soviet leaders probably viewed the Marshall Plan and NATO as direct threats to Soviet security. Soviet leaders felt the United States was using its wealth to buy influence and power in Europe. They feared that strong, rebuilt Western European nations would be a threat to its satellite nations in Eastern Europe.
