To the first, possibly, and to the second, probably not (though this is so vague that someone could probably come up with something if he or she strained hard enough).
Whether you are in agreement with the US's actions since WW2 or not, it is difficult to find any meaningful similarity between American culture and the cultures of Nazi Germany and Imperialist Japan.
