how old is queen hatshepsut when she was in power
A pharaoh, in ancient times, is the king of Egypt, and can only be a man.Except for Hatshepsut because her nephew was not old enough to rule. She also became the first QUEEN of Egypt.
Queen Hatshepsut was the first woman to become King of Egypt. To convince people that she was just as good as a man she wore the mens clothes during her rule, the fake beard and the King's crown. Her rule was very good bringing prosper to Egypt. Although because she 'took' the throne from Tuthmosis III her nephew, because he wasn't old enough, he erased and destroyed all statues/depictions of her that he could find. Hatshepsut does have a temple in Thebes though that has not been destroyed.
I think that narmer ruled the new kingdom
New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty.
Queen Hapshepsut was about 50 years old at the time of death in 1458 B.C.
After the death of her father at age 12, Hatshepsut married her half-brother Thutmose II, whose mother was a lesser wife, a common practice meant to ensure the purity of the royal bloodline. During the reign of Thutmose II, Hatshepsut assumed the traditional role of queen and principal wife.
