Due to some personal issues they were inactive for awhile in 1997 and 1998 and came close to splitting up at that time; but eventully were able to patch up their problems and get back on tour.

Radiohead were previously known as 'On A Friday' from 1985-1991 but when they were picked up by the record label EMI they were told to change their name, so they changed it to Radiohead after a Talking Heads song.
That is a matter of opinion, and no one can really answer that because others will disagree. Its up to you to decide for yourself. But Radiohead is pretty epic.
