Most men already knew how to use black powder when they entered the war and there was no need to teach them how to use something else. The government was set up to produce Black power not mass quantities of Air rifles
In the WW1, also known as The Great War there were no vaccines or proper medical care given to the soldiers.
Rifles were primarily used in World War I due to their accuracy, range, and effectiveness in trench warfare. The widespread use of trenches made close combat less common, while the ability to engage enemies from a distance became crucial. Additionally, rifles were relatively easy to mass-produce and could be operated by soldiers with minimal training, making them the standard infantry weapon. The introduction of bolt-action rifles allowed for quick follow-up shots, further enhancing their utility on the battlefield.
