No they did not. The first recorded instance of unfair treatment was by one of Americas founding fathers; he had purchased land from a tribe measured by "a days walk" from a certain point - he then hired the fastest runner he could to run all day to claim as much land as he could.

According to a US Federal Judge (Northern District of Texas) c.2006, quoting: "The United States has violated every treaty it ever signed with Indians, and one more time is not going to matter." This conduct has not changed.

The natives were treated very kindly by pilgrims but it was reciprocated by the natives whole helped them adapt to their new environment.
