In their mind, yes. They wrote that 2012 would be the year the world is supposed to end. However, we have technically already surpassed 2012 because the Mayans didn't include B.C. & A.D. dates, which is a 4-year expansion. So if the world didn't conform it's times and dates to that of the birth and death of Jesus, we would be in 2015 right now.

Have the Mayans ever been wrong in the calendar?

Yes. The Mayan calendar is based on a combination of 260-day and 365-day cycles. The 260-day cycle appears to be based on an astronomical observation that is only valid for the latitude at which they lived and doesn't have much practical use. The 365-day cycle is obviously based on the solar year, but it does not account for the fact that the solar year is actually 365.2425 days, so it accumulates error, relative to astronomical observations and also relative to the seasons, at a significant rate. Incidentally, the Mayan "Long Count" calendar repeats approximately every 394.3 years. It does not have an end.

2012 end of the earth?

no the world will not end in 2012, i guess no one believes in God, but it will go on forever and ever and ever.Update: The world will not end in 2012. The Lord did say he will have a rapture, but we don't know when. It's not like the world will explode in 2012. The assumed reason the Mayans stopped making the calendar was that they got sacked and killed off before they could keep going.

Did month of march ever have less than 31 days?

No, the month of March has always had 31 days in the Gregorian calendar, which is the calendar system most widely used today. This has been consistent since the calendar was established in 1582. In the Julian calendar, which preceded it, March also had 31 days.

Will it ever be 2013 again after 31st December 2013?

Not in this numbering system. If you use a different system, then it might. A few possibilities where the year numbering hasn't reached 2013 yet are the Indian national calendar, the Baha'i calendar, and the Islamic calendar.
