No, they didn't first off thats a very common misconception, two not every tribe wore the head dresses and three thats kind of racist if you truly consider it.

Some tribes wore headdresses, particularly the plains tribes. Many, many tribes did not wear feathers at all.


Please bear in mind that there were over 1,500 tribes in North America when the Europeans arrived. South America was also found to be populated- by Native Americans- who coincidentally hid well within their jungle environment. So yes, many did- but many did not.
