As with any relationship it is up to the couple. Depends on the tradition. Native Americans that do or don't wear wedding rings for various reasons. Just as any other demographic group it is all on preferance. I myself would to "fit" the social norm in a way but also to signify my commitment to the world. Where as before in times way past they didn't have to have a symbol of their commitment it was shown in their actions and through their community involvement. There wasn't many outsiders and the need to clarify or boast.

The Navaho and Zuni are known for their silver work and many plains tribes did bead work. Today much of the bead work is not done and there are still silver work getting done by modern artists.
