The worst consequence to the Germans would probably be paying 30 billion to Allies so they can repair their damages. The Germans were in exact struggle with the economy and they HAD to pay the Allies that much money. It was probably the worse than losing Alsace&Lorraine, and demilitarizing the Rhine lands and stripped all the weapons and fortifications.
