They did not. They, as Jews, knew that a Messiah was promised from God. But they did not predict the coming of Christ and in fact most of them did not believe He was who He said He was until after the resurrection and ascention.
The Bible tells us that they were very afraid when they saw the resurrected Jesus. If you can even imagine what that was like. They had seen Him die and laid in the tomb so they were really freaked out to see Him up walking around. After the resurrection He was able to walk through solid walls and disappear at will.
