neither of the atomic bombs used in ww2 on Japan had parachutes, they were free fall gravity bombs. however some later atomic bomb designs did have parachutes.
No parachute, it was a barometric fuse. The parachute spotted by some survivors on the ground was a live telemetry sensor package dropped by the lead aircraft. The actual bomb itself Little Boy had a box shaped fin which acted like an air brake loosely termed the "California Parachute" but it was not a real parachute: rather an air brake to reduce terminal velocity.
The atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima Nagasaki by the US from parachute.
Glider,helicopter,parachute,automobile cars,map,machiene,tank,stink bomb etc
Aerial bombs can use both . Fins are used to stabilize the bomb when dropped from a significant height whereas a bomb using a parachute allows the bombing plane to escape the blast effects of the bomb when dropped at lower altitudes .
The largest most powerful bomb detonated in human history is theTsar-Bomb or AN602. It was detonated by the Soviet Union and was worth 100 megatons of TNT. Only one was ever made. The explosion would have been much larger if the bomb wasn't attached to a parachute so the plane could get away on time. It was 10x bigger the both bomb dropped on Japan. It has never been used in war. The bomb weighed a total of 27 tons.
The first US weapon utilizing laydown delivery was the Mark 15 bomb, and was the first "light weight" thermonuclear bomb. The Mark 7 bomb was delivered using the loft bombing, a similar technique to laydown, but laydown delivery and lob delivery are not one-and-the-same for various reasons including the use of a retarding parachute on the bomb during laydown, and the attitude of the aircraft when the weapon is released.
a small parachute, is a small parachute, ther is no technical name for it. :) a small parachute is called a drogue
Too many to list, and it varies from bomb to bomb. Some are:Chemical explosivesVarious metals (e.g. aluminum, steel, copper, lead, nickel)PlasticsNylon, Kevlar, etc. (if equipped with a parachute system)Nuclear fuels (e.g. Uranium, Plutonium, Tritium gas, Lithium Deuteride)Chemicals in whatever rechargeable battery is usedetc., etc.etc.
