It depends on your point of view. From a worker's prospective, the benefits did not outweigh them. They were treated harshly and put in unfair and unsafe working conditions. However from a factory owner's prospective, the benefits did outweigh those problems.

∙ 11y agoIt is through industrialization that a country's economy gets necessary boost for upliftment to a desired level. It is obvious that agriculture cannot generate enough employment and its rate of growth is almost static. It is through prioritizing industrialization, that China's economy has gone a sea change and become a second largest economy of the world. Though automation in modern industries has squeezed the scope of generating employment, still its scope is phenomenal.
However, industrialization has its disadvantages too. Rapid industrialization put a severe blow in small and cottage industries of a country. These industries generate huge employment in the rural sector specially among the womenfolk. Take the instance of Bangladesh where garment sector generates huge employment among womenfolk,there by ensuring their livlihood. In this connection, Bangladesh Gramin Bank plays an important role in extending micro credit to this sector. This sector has not the capability and financial viability to compete with the big mechanized industries,resulting in premature closure,causing loss of employment of millions of people.
