The inability of the church to do anything about the black Death did reduce the people's opinion of the church to a great extent. However, the major effect of the black death upon religion was the loss of many priests and monks. In many places, monasteries were abandoned and never reformed.

∙ 12y agoNot an expert, but i'd asume so from what i know. Since it was scientists who came up with a proper cure people would of trusted scientists more in health aspects of life (unless they were idiots). But people still beleived in god, so i think they'd get a cure from a doctor and get a priest to pray for them.
