{| |- | I know many people that fought in Korea. As a veteran, I often meet with them. Most veteran's groups will have such individuals. The number of World War 2 vets is shrinking rapidly, with Korean right behind. The bulk of the groups are currently Vietnam Vets. |}
Nearly all of the men that fought in Korea were WWII veterans or WWII era men. The Korean War was only separated from WWII by 5 years. Those men are now OVER the age of 80.
The vast majority of men fighting in Vietnam were either WWII & Korean War veterans or from that era. These men are now (with rare exceptions) OVER the age of 60.
Operation Desert Storm, the liberation of Kuwait from Iraqi forces in Jan/Feb 1991 was the last time that Vietnam veteran US military men fought a major US Military campaign. And those men were too young to have fought in Korea or WWII. The US commander in chief, President George Bush Senior, during DS was a WWII veteran however; but the C & C was a bit older than his military leaders.
