in my humble opinion there are no difference for personal user except the huge file space, any way SP3 made some hotfix and some security update you can choose what you need from MS windows update center ( I choose Hotfix only )
direct x 9.0c is ok for windows xp sp 2 32bithttp://www.shoxee.com
It should work for Win XP, just check the Java version etc. You also have to have 2 Gigs of RAM minimally!
1. Make an ISO copy of Your Win XP 2. Prepare Your USB device (min. capacity 1GB) using RUFUS (free app for making bootable USB) 3. Make sure You set USB device as first bootable device in BIOS 4. Reinstall Your Win XP

You can measure the phase difference between 2 pendulums by measuring the distance between the two. The amount it comes out to will be the difference.
The difference is... 25
You want to share a drive in network, you do not need to reinstall xp at all. If you want to share with another operating system, then you need to create at least 2 partitions on for xp another fro another opearting system. If you install 2 OS in one direction it will cause win xp stops to work properly, and you might loose all your data on that partition.
The difference between 9/16 and 1/2 is 1/16.
