∙ 14y agoThe term bird is more of a general term, as compared to the term parrot is more descriptive. An ostrich is not a parrot so it would be considered just a bird for that matter. A Hyacinth Macaw is a type of parrot, yes it is also a bird but it fits under the category of bird as well.
