Nurses are expected to stand for a majority of their shift, also we do heavy lifting we have to turn patient's every two hours and assist them in walking and if they fall we need to pick them up. Nursing is a stressful field we have to cope with handling our patient, dealing with their families and juggling our our patient needs. You work long hours (typical shifts are 12+ hours) and in bad weather you'll be expected in to relive the past shift.
