During a manned mission, you have to keep the man alive and coherent. This means taking food, air, and water into space, as well as designing the spacecraft with enough empty space to be occupied by the human body and a mission timeline that allows for sleeping and rest of the crew member. Secondly, a mission failure means potential loss of human life. None of these provisions need to be taken into account for robotic missions.

The USA had 166 total manned missions, USSR (& Russia) had 123 missions and China had 3 manned missions as of December 15, 2010
Manned missions to the moon: there have been eight successful manned missions to the moon, including six landings.

Because sending manned missions to the moon is very expensive and NASA has a limited budget.
1,7-17 were manned apollo missions
Manned missions allow for real time interaction with the environment instead of waiting for sent commands to be processed, and confirmation returned. But manned missions require expensive, large habitable environments and support systems to keep the astronauts alive.
There are currently no manned missions planned to Mars.
All Apollo missions were manned.

Manned space missions have carried their crew members to low-earth orbit, to lunar orbit, and to the surface of the moon. The most recent manned lunar orbits and lunar landings took place 38 years ago.
There have been seven manned missions to the moon
