As the padding compresses it soaks up energy that otherwise would have gone into your head.
The plural of disc jockey is disc jockeys. As in "the disc jockeys went head-to-head in the challenge".
No, because they have a padding in their head that prevents it.
Another name for the optic nerve head is the optic disc.
Padding in a safety helmet absorbs and dissipates some of the impact energy generated during a collision. This helps to reduce the force that reaches the head, which in turn extends the time it takes for the head to reach a sudden stop. By increasing the duration of the collision, the padding can help reduce the likelihood of serious head injuries.
There are several motors in disc players. First, there is a platen motor to rotate the disc. There are normally two motors for the laser head to move the laser across the disc and to raise and lower the head. These keep the laser tracking the disc correctly. Finally, there is a motor to open and close the disc tray.
Bike helmet padding helps absorb impact and reduce the force of a collision, protecting the head from injury. It also provides a comfortable fit and helps stabilize the helmet on the head, reducing the risk of it coming off during a fall. Overall, helmet padding is essential for ensuring safety while cycling.
The access time for a moving head disc drive is greater than that of a fixed head disc drive due to the physical movement required by the read/write head to reach the desired location on the disk. In a moving head drive, the head needs to physically move across the disk's surface to access different sectors, resulting in increased latency. In contrast, a fixed head drive has multiple heads dedicated to specific locations on the disk, allowing for quicker access times as the heads do not need to physically move.
Bicycle helmet padding provides cushioning to absorb impact in case of a fall, reducing the risk of head injuries. It also helps to improve comfort by providing a snug fit and reducing pressure points on the head during long rides.

Try using cardboard boxes, duct tape, adhesive, padding, mini flashlights, plastic cups, screening for the mouth, and gold spray paint to create the shuffle bot costume. 16x16" carboard box, cut out the mouth and eyes and fill the back of the holes with heavy wire screen. Install red LED lights behind the eyes and use padding inside the box to fit snug on the head. You will need a lot of padding. You can try to attach a chin strap for extra stability. If you have a problem with the head tipping forward make sure to add extra padding to the area where the base of your head is in the back.
