In one to one selection interview, there is only one person to take interview of the interviewer. He can do favoritism but in my view, if there would be 10 persons then still they can do favoritism or they have to select a person on the orders of the seniors. I partially agree with the statement. You can say that one to one interview has more chances of favoritism and prejudice than the interviews made by a committee.
