First, shut of power so when you remove the fuel filter, very little fuel will come spurting out. Next, after removing the old filter, plug in a new filter, then restore power. You can if you break it, but these grills are hard to replace on the 6000 as there arent many left. Another idea is to reach up from underneath and behind the bumper and see if you can reach the hood release. This might save you the trouble of destroying your grill.
