ABC's: A (airway) B (breathing) C (circulation)

If blood loss is evident (without moving the person too much, as we wouldn't want to risk a broken bone to cause more issues such as internal bleeding or causing a compound fracture) direct pressure with a clean cloth is usually recommended.

It all depends on the situation, but as long as you remember the ABC's, everything should turn out better than it would if no one knew first aid.

Also, it's a grand idea to call 911.
