Do 4 month expired pregnancy tests give false results if so do they give false positive or false negative?

I took a pregnancy test today that expired in May of 2008 today and it said positive, though I dont think I am pregnant. So I cant really give you a for sure answer. I have 2 kids so I know what it feels like to be pregnant, Im not feeling anything, so I would say that they can give either.
