Spring powered air guns tend to shoot harder. C02 will only shoot about 500 FPS spring can reach 1200 FPS ( Feet per second) BUT: PCP air guns are charged to 3000 psi and can fire over 1500 FPS. PCP air rifles are the fastest and hardest hitting air weapons.
(They use a Scuba tank to charge them)
A little harder but Yes they are. However spring powered air guns are usually stronger than C02 air powered guns. Spring powered guns are single shot and must be reloaded between shots where as C02 usually uses a clip with pellets or BB and is semi automatic. ( Generally speaking but not always)
A regular BB gun can not shoot air-soft pellets. BB guns shoot a .175 BB. Air guns shoot a much larger 6MM BB.
