Yes, though there are much stricter gun laws in effect compared to the United States. It is much harder to obtain a gun.

All you need to do is to obtain a non-restricted license which takes about 1 month and you can get guns. for hand guns you need restricted license which will take about 2 months. Usually if you have never committed a crime before, it's always easy for you to get guns.

Canadian gun control laws are actually less restricted than New York state and California .
