The only restrictions are that no meat is to be eaten on Ash Wednesday and on Fridays during Lent. Some ordinaries that have not requested an indult still observe all Fridays during the year as meatless as do many Catholics living in a diocese that has received an indult. Other than that, there are no food restrictions except that all things must be taken in moderation. Over eating can be as sinful as drinking too much.
