ChaCha workers USED to be able to make .10-.25 cents every time they answer a question.
However ., they are not hiring for guides any longer and have replaced the 20 cent guide with the HALF CENT Vetter , Vetters use a database BUILT UP by those 20 cent guides . These answers are then recycled . ChaCha used to put new answers into the system at their discretion . But now anything a vetter types gets put into the system .
You get paid a half cent per question .005 . It is impossible to make more than .50 cents an hour for hard work editing , picking and customizing your own answers .
There is also a ton of other rules and quality checks ChaCha workers are subject to. Which keeps them working slowly so they do not qualify for the "contests ." One wrong answer will get you down to 87% which will get you fired after roughly 3 weeks .
ChaCha is also subject to "gamers " . These are people who get hired then put bad answers into the system . Less correct answers means more customizing which means slow answers which means less money which is a vicious cycle for a ChaCha worker trying to make a buck .
You could ask ChaCha because that's what their for but if you just want the simple answer: ChaCha makes money by their advertisements between each answer they send you (: So they can keep it free for you.
Kgb costs money. ChaCha is a free service. :)

They wanted workers, and some people want more money, so they kidnapped slaves and make them workers at the factory. They do this because they want to make more money.
