Because they are seen as 'good dragons,' and the Chinese believed that 'good dragons' should be brightly coloured to make them more friendly.
Bearded drangons are noramally extremely friendly and docile.
They have significance because they are a popular legend so people make honor tributes to dragons to bring good luck.
YES. Bearded Dragons make amazing pets. They are friendly and tame. I love beardies!
Possibly remains of mythical creatures such as Dragons. the Chinese Dragon is usually drawn wingless, by the way. This seems to make sense.
If you are refering to the fruits/ leafy greens that are safe to feed iguanas, then yes. I wouldn't give them any of the premade Iguana food that you can buy at the pet stores though. Chinese Water Dragons can eat the same fruits and veggies, but usually don't like them too much and will only pick at them rarely. Make sure you are feeding mostly insects/whole prey: crickets, mealworms, waxworms, phoenix worms, butterworms, silkworms, clean feeder fish. Some people give pinky mice, but only when they are around adult size. Good luck. :)
get a Chinese cooking slave
I say the leopard gecko would be a the best choice for a pet lizard. Reasons: They're inexpensive, nocturnal (you won't miss out when your at school), and their food is inexpensive. I have my own leopard gecko named Draco. I hope you take my advice!

Dragonflies are real but dragons are not.
