Christians believe that the Messiah came once to live on earth as a human, and that He is now in Heaven, and will come back someday. So we are expecting His second coming, not His first coming.
Jews are not Christians. Christians believe that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah. Jews (and remember- Jesus was a Jew himself) believe that the Messiah has not yet come.
Jesus. Jews believe that the Messiah is yet to come. Christians believe that he already came (Jesus Christ).
The new messiah hasn't come yet. The Jews are waitng for Him for example and the Christians think he will come again but no one so far has come forward as the messiah or at least with proof.
Jewish people worship the same god as Christians do. Jews believe that the Messiah has not come to Earth yet; Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah; and Muslims believe Mohammad is the prophet of Alah but was not a holy being. The Muslim understanding of Mohammad would be paralle to the Jewish view Jesus.
The vast majority of Jewish people do not believe that Jesus was the messiah, but that the messiah has yet to come.
The Christian belief is that Jesus, the Messiah, came once, and He is coming again at the end of the world. Some Jews believe that He has not come yet, and that Jesus was an impostor.
The following ideas are quite different from Judaism (I am providing more than two): 1. Christianity believes that the messiah has come and it was Jesus. For Christians, the messiah is a spiritual savior, who died for the sins of humanity. (Jews do not believe anyone can die for your sins, nor do they believe the messiah was supposed to be killed. And Jews do not believe the messiah has come yet.) 2. Many Christians believe in a trinity-- that God has three distinct persons, the father/the son/the holy spirit. (Hebrew tradition describes God as a unity-- God is One, and does not have different aspects.) 3. Many Christians believe Jesus is both God and the Son of God. (Jews do not believe God can take a human body.) 4. Christianity does not follow most of the laws of Leviticus, such as the Kosher laws, nor do most Christians observe Jewish holidays, even though Jesus observed them. 5. Some Christians believe Judaism has been replaced by Christianity.
Christianity revolves around the belief that Jesus is God's son and the Messiah. Their religious text is the Bible. The Jews believe that the Messiah has not yet come and follow the Torah, a religious text. Muslims believe in the teachings of Mohamed and their religious text is the Koran. They also claim to believe in the same deity as Christians and Jews, but the two often dispute this.
The Bible says He will come when His Father tells Him to. It apparently is not quite time yet. But I believe it will be soon.
The difference between Christians and Jews is that Christians accept Jesus Christ as savior and Messiah and the Jewish people have not yet. Christians and Buddhists both believe in being loving and forgiving. Christians and Muslims both believe in modesty.
Jews call "the Messiah" as "the Messiah" or in Hebrew "HaMoshiach" (המשיח). However, as opposed to other religions, such as Christianity or Islam, Judaism does not believe that the Messiah has come yet and therefore is not identified with any person. For example, Jews don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah and, therefore, do not accept the Christian or Islamic claims that he was a God prophet or God/son of God.
The Torah is basically the first five books of the Bible, so Jesus hadn't shown up yet. The Torah contains many refernces to a Messiah, which Christians believe was Jesus, but Jews don't believe this.
