No I didn't know that. But it is not a big deal. Christmas is a day to remember Jesus Christ's birth. It doesn't matter what day it is on. Most Christians understand we don't know the exact day month etc. So it doesn't matter:
1Co 8:4 .......................we know that an idol stands for something that does not really exist; we know that there is only the one God.
1Co 8:5 Even if there are so-called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, and even though there are many of these "gods" and "lords,"
1Co 8:6 yet there is for us only one God, the Father, who is the Creator of all things and for whom we live; and there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created and through whom we live.
Many millions have their birthday on 'christmas day'. Christmas celebrates the fact that Christ was born, it is not his actual birthday. It is also the birthday of baal, sorry but this is the right answer. If you are offended by the truth its only because they will not tell you the truth.Happy winter solstice, you have heard it is of pagan decent you just didnt know how pagan it really is right.
I don't know about other peoplebut i celebrate christmas, thanksgiving, easter, good friday, new years day and my birthday(yes my birthday is a holiday for me) New Years isn't a holiday primarily for Christians though and unless you are Jesus neither is your birthday. A birthday can be celebrated by anyone.
"They" probably didn't know it was Christmas, as "they" were most likely not Christians.
A:Most Christians do not know that Christmas Day was chosen as a Christian festival because it is the birthday of the sun god. They do not know that even the name 'Easter' and much of the Easter festivities are of pagan origin. They do not know that many of the saints, such as St Brigid of Ireland, are Christianised pagan gods. Not knowing these things, they can be Christians and enjoy their festivities in blissful ignorance.
Who? As far as I know, Christmas is still celebrated everywhere there are Christians.
Christmas shows, whether of a Christian theme or other theme, are available for everyone. There are none that are available only to Christians.
One celebration I know is Christmas since there are lots of Christians there!
Nowadays Christmas is not only celebrated by Christians and all the religions that are liked to Christians. Most people celebrate it now. for example i know that there are many Jewish people that celebrate Christmas even though that believe that Jesus was that "son of God"
The major religion in Japan is called Shintoism - an offshoot of Buddhism and other eastern faiths. As such, they do not celebrate "Christmas" per se, since Christmas is a holiday in the Christian religion only. This is why I found the mid-80s hunger relief song "Do They Know it's Christmas", the "Band-Aid" song, so bizarre - 99% of the children starving in Ethiopia were not Christians, so of course they didn't know it's Christmas. The title of the song might just as well have been "Do They Know It's Passover?" or "Do they Know it's Buddha's Birthday?"
yes most Peruvians are Christians so they do celebrate Christmas and from what know its a really big celebration, but it is mostly celebrated on the 24 of December.
some times if they want to i guess but not every cristian does i would know i am one
Jesus Christ was born on December 25 and Christmas is basically his birthday celebration.
