They do not in the first anime series but in the last chapter of the manga they appear to have been together for a while and Ed proposes to her before leaving on a trip. On the last page of the manga there is a picture of Ed with a wedding ring on with Winry and their kids as well. Since Brotherhood follows the manga it's likely it'll have the same conclusion for Ed and Winry.

∙ 14y agoIn the first anime of Fullmetal Alchemist, Ed and Winry never kiss. We might not see this even in the manga (since it has not ended yet) or in the second anime Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Their love story is not the main plot of the whole anime or manga. But there are a lot of fanfictions out there that tend to make Ed and Winry as a couple.

In the new anime... at the end of the whole series... ed claims that he wants to have an equivalent exchange with winry by him giving her half of his life for half of her life... winry on the other hand says she will give him all of her life... both blush and then edward laughs at the blushing winry... ed hugs her tightly and leaves on the train to the west... before that he promises to return soon... and at the end of the credits... it shows everyones life after the incident with all the homunculi... there it shows roy and riza, scar, roy's team, and many more... and at the end it shows ed and winry holding their two children, right behind them is al and mei smiling.... this proves that ed and winry end up together

Does edward elric fall in love with winry?
No, they do not get married. At least in the first Fullmetal Alchemist series. But I highly doubt they will, in the manga or Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. Their love life is not part of the 'big' plot...but is a sub plot...maybe a kiss or something but no marriage soon -At the very end of the manga, they do have a confession of sorts. Its hard to explain, but to the question of married, in the very last page there is a collection of photos, Among them, Is one containing, Ed, Al, Winry and Mei. Winry is cradling an infant to her chest with eyes like hers. While Ed is holding a toddler with his color hair and the same smile. One can take that as evidence they get married. P.S Ed got tall * Edward got married to Winry and had 2 children, and Alphonse got married to Mei after his trip to Xing in the manga. Ed and Winry did get married, because if you do look at the picture that is discussed above (with the two children), Ed is wearing a wedding ring on his left hand. That is proof that he and Winry got married. :)

It's obviously winry!!!! because If you watch the second OVA, Edward is shown as a grandfather with three grandchildren. One of the children strikingly resembles Winry, so that means they did still end up with eah other, cause you see,there's no way for edward to have a grandchild that has greatly look's like winry if he and winry did not end up with each other! and infact he and rose does not suit each other!. there's no way for them to end up each other!!!! What is the difference between Fullmetal Alchemist and the manga?
The first anime from FMA follows the manga similarly, but takes a different route. They have the same basic plot of trying to get their body's back, but there's much more in the manga. Examples: *the homunculus characters are a bit different *the way some people die, or who they're injured by is different *Where characters go and end up changes *The Wrath from the first FMA anime isn't in the manga or FMA Brotherhood *Winry's parents were killed by someone else *Ed and Al did not make a homunculus *There are more new main characters from other countries *There's no "Dante" woman *Ed & Al's father plays a bigger role *Lust doesn't turn good *They don't go to the other side of the gate (yet) That's just for the first anime compared to the manga though. FMA Brotherhood follows the books much more. The manga and both anime versions are very good - including the first movie, and a second one is coming out in Japan soon.
Do you have to finish the first fma to watch fma brotherhood?
Of course, the option is up to you whether or not to finish the original Fullmetal Alchemist anime series or not before starting Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. However, I highly suggest you do to get some closure and so you don't mix up details from the series. Each has a similar storyline in the beginning, but begins to differ later on. By the end of both series, each has a totally different plot, antagonist, et cetera.
