yes you can there are converter tool that let you convert GameShark, codebreaker and ar max codes but only the old ver of the codes the new vers has a converter but im not sure if it was ever release to the public! there wouldn't be PS1 codes on a ps2 gameshark but since ps1 games work on ps2 you might be able to download ps1 cheats onto ps2 gameshark but it is doughtful since ps1 and ps2 gamesharks and gameshark codes are probably differant format

Nothing infinite will stay infinite. Codes that increase things like money will work but it won't be infinite without the gameshark (in other words some codes will make your money 9999999, or so but it will still go down without the infinite code on)
