It is part of the business of a bank to issue and accept deposits of coins. Providing that the coins are sorted into their denominations, bagged and not foreign or obsolete coins, most banks should not have a problem. Many banks now have machines to accept large quantities of coins in exchange for a higher denomination.

5 Pfennig coins are small and made of brass-clad iron or of bronze; five Mark coins are big and made either of silver or cupro-nickel.

At all the banks I have been to you can. They also can be requested at banks. Sacajawea dollars are legal tender for any purchase. All banks must accept them.
Since "Deutschland" is German for the country of Germany, the coin in question would be from Germany. "Penny" here is a bit of a misnomer, however, since the equivalent of a penny in German currency would have been a "Pfennig." There were Pfennig coins in circulation from the 9th century until the introduction of the Euro/cent in 2002. It was in 1873 with the introduction of the Gold Mark its division by 100 to equal 100 Pfennige that 1 Pfennig was assigned the value of a penny (or one cent). Previously, the Pfennig had been a coin of more value.
