I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and when I am in pain, whether it is a headache, muscle ache, or whatever, I do what is necessary to alieviate the pain, whether it is to take aspirin or seek medical attention. Also, if a doctor prescribes necessary pain medication, I will take it. We have no prohibition against any kind of medical treatment, whether it is traditional or alternative/herbal medical treatment, except the use of blood. The ONLY exception for us is any sort of treatment that would violate the prohibition against taking blood into the body as found at Acts 15:28.29 and other scriptures. Other than that, we use over the counter pain medications or medications that are legally prescribed by a physician.

Answer 2: Keep this in mind, in The Bible Luke, a disciple of Christ was a physician. As followers of Christ we do not refuse medical treatment. We are selective in our choices, but medical treatment is sometime very necessary. We are discerning in our choices so as not to violate Bible principles on the prohibition against blood and any treatment involving spiritism. I had spine surgery last year, I CANNOT even begin to imagine not taking pain medication as the doctor prescribed.
