Not really. There is a small solid core, but it's nothing like a planetary surface as we usually think of them. It is under an enormous pressure caused by the mass of gas that makes up the bulk of the planet. We could never go there bodily, and we don't have nearly the technology or engineering to develop a useful probe that could. We don't call it a gas giant for nothing. no.
no because it is a old planet
--------------------------
Age has nothing to do with its mass and composition.
At this time, scientists believe that Jupiter is a gas giant and is entirely made up of gas. This means, we currently believe there is no surface (or solids) on Jupiter. (Except for the occasional asteroid that strikes it and gets slowly pulverized?)
The atmosphere is approximately 75% hydrogen and 24% helium by mass, with the remaining one percent of the mass consisting of other elements.
The interior contains denser materials such that the distribution is roughly 71% hydrogen, 24% helium and 5% other elements by mass. -XX3
No, Jupitar is a giant planet made up mostly of gases. The rings around Jupiter are made up of bits of asteroids that have broken apart and drifted into orbit around it.
NO JUPITER HAS A SMALL CORE OF SOLID BUT ITS NOTHING LIKE A PLANETARY SURFACE
No. It is one of the gas giants. It might have a solid core, though.
No. Gas giants do not have solid surfaces.
No. Jupiter does not have a solid surface. There is nothing to land on.
No. Jupiter is a gas giant with no solid surface. There is nothing there to build on.
well, jupiter's surface is gas, not solid, so you'd pass through it(you'd get crushed anyway...).
Jupiter has no surface, since it is a gas planet. It's only made out of gas which are 90% hidrogen and 10% helium.
Pretty much. While Jupiter does not have a solid surface, at what passes for a surface, a 100 lb Earthling would weigh 253 lbs.
No. Jupiter does not have a solid surface.
No. Jupiter does not have a solid surface.
No
No, Jupiter is a gas planet it has no solid surface
no, becaus Jupiter's surface is not solid!
nope, no solid surface, all gas.
The surface of Jupiter is not solid!
No. Jupiter does not have a solid surface.
Jupiter is gas.
No, Jupiter is a gas giant planet and may have no solid surface at all.
No. Jupiter is a gas planet. It has no solid surface.
Neither. Jupiter is a gas planet. There is no solid surface.
