Not at all. The actual surgery process is a little uncomfortable but not painful at all. Your eyes are fully anaethatised with drops.

Immediately after surgery, your eyes will feel a little gritty and watery but this wears off after a couple of hours. It is advised you go to bed when you get home to rest your eyes and help healing.

I had Lasik last Saturday and was back at work Monday morning with 20/20 vision and no irritation.

A2: I just had lasik today at three pm and it's now 6:30pm. It's surprisingly no pain for what they do. everyone's different but for me, it's hard to keep my eyes open just to type. the doctor just called me and said to try and fall asleep. he said my vision should be perfect by 8:30 tonight. Right now though, it looks like I'm looking through Saran Wrap or something. and the drops they give you really help :}

I had laser eye surgery because I'm borderline glaucoma. My doctor was hoping it would bring down my eye pressure but we we not successful. I would say no pain was felt but I did feel a percussion sometimes in one eye and became nauseated, my doctor had to stop for awhile, that was the only problem and not really a problem.

Yes and No. cateract surgery hurts right after the surgery, and for the next day. Ir isn't as bad as i thought it might be. i had it last summer. After the first couple days, you never feel any pain. it is a very painless surgery, well if you have a good surgeon.

No, I think they put you to sleep first before they start. Because that's what they do when your getting surgery (put you to sleep)

There is no pain associated with laser eyelid surgery at all. A combination of Anesthesia and a sedative is given to relax the anxiety and thus no pain felt by the person undergoing the surgery. Eyelid surgery usually lasts for one or two hours and the outcome of this surgery is a remarkable young looking face.

The pain you experience after LASIK surgery can vary but is usually pretty mild. If you do experience pain after your procedure your doctor may prescribe pain medication but this is generally not needed. Below is a link to AllAboutVision.com's LASIK surgery section which can help answer any other questions you may have about the operation.

The surgeon folds the hinged flap back out of the way, then removes some corneal tissue underneath using an excimer laser. The excimer laser uses a cool ultraviolet light beam to precisely remove ("ablate") very tiny bits of tissue from the cornea to reshape it.

When the cornea is reshaped in the right way, it works better to focus light into the eye and onto the retina, providing clearer vision than before. The flap is then laid back in place, covering the area where the corneal tissue was removed.

The eye is numbed and the patient does not feel anything.

Your eyes are numbed with drops before you begin the surgery, which means you should not feel anything. Recovery from the procedure is quite quick and generally painless, with people going back to their day-to-day activities within as little as 24 hours.

Not really. You feel pressure on your eyes, but it only lasts a few minutes. You may find it uncomfortable, but as I said it doesn't last very long.
