The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) does not teach that all other religions are the work of Satan. Other religions very rarely come up, and when they do, it's almost always positive.
Mormons believe that all good things come of God, and so any religion that does good, even if it's theology may be flawed, is still good. The Book of Mormon says this several times, most notably in Moroni 7:13, which says "that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God."
Since most religions "invite to do good and love God and serve him", they are all inspired by God. They don't have the whole truth, but they aren't entirely wrong.
While Mormons believe they are the true church, I think most churches feel that way about their own church. The LDS (Mormon) Church does not believe that other religions are from satan.
No, Mormons believe that Jesus was crucified on a cross, just like most other Christians. Mormons believe and study the Bible throughly, so the accounts there are what we believe. Mormons dont however use the cross as a religious symbol like many other religions... Perhaps you are thinking of the Jehovah's Witnesses? They do not believe that Jesus died on a cross.
This is the official position of pretty much every religion worldwide. Most religions believe that theirs is the only true religion. Unlike many other religions, however, Mormons also believe that all other religions have some truth and therefore have good to contribute. Mormons seek out the good in all things (including other faiths) and celebrate the good.
I think you are giving him too much credit.
Many religions contrast with Mormonism. Mormons believe that there are three levels of heaven, when many other Christians believe there is only one. Mormons believe that people have the ability to become gods after death, when some other Christians believe that is blasphemous, making themselves above or equal to Jehovah. Some "fundamentalist" Mormon splinter groups believe that there are no limitations to the number of spouses one might have, when many other Christians believe that you can only have one.
A:Everyone who follows a religion other than one of the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) believes in other gods or spirits but does not believe in the Abrahamic God. These would include followers of Hinduism, Daoism, Shintoism and other religions, as well as most Buddhists. Also, atheists do not believe in God. It could also be said that agnostics do not believe in God, because they do not know whether he exists.Atheists do not believe in god. I would add that agnostics also do not believe in a deity. Some may argue that agnostics don't belong on the list, since they really are doubtful about the existence of a deity, and if a deity exists she/he can't be known by us. My argument is that to 'believe in' a deity is actually to trust that deity, and not just acknowledge the deity's existence. So in traditional belief systems Satan believes that the deity exists, but you wouldn't say that Satan 'believes in' god. Satan believes that a deity exists, but Satan 'believes in' himself.
Everyone follows their own religion Jews believe in God, and many other religions like Christianity, Bhudism, Hinduism, etc. On my opinion though if I were to believe in Satan I would also believe in God because in the bible at one point Satan used to be an angel and all that but turned on God due to jealousy
Most religions teach that theirs is the only correct religion and that all others are false. This is nothing unique to Mormonism. Mormons do believe that their religion is the one true faith, but they also believe that all religions have some truth. You will rarely, if ever, hear anyone speaking against another faith in a Mormon worship service. Most Mormons consider this unacceptable behavior and strive to find common ground with those of other faiths. Mormons believe that by uniting with other faith groups and focusing on their shared moral values, they can become a powerful force for good in the world. It is true that Mormons teach their religion to their children. This is also something most religious people will do. However, many Mormon families are open to allowing their children to explore other faiths, just as they would hope that other families would allow their children to explore Mormonism. As a child growing up in the Mormon Church, I was welcome to attend church with friends who belonged to other religions, and they frequently attended church with me in exchange.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) is a branch of Christianity and therefore has many similarities to other Christian groups. For example, Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior and Redeemer of Mankind. Mormons believe that the Holy Bible is the Word of God and use it as sacred scripture. Mormons believe that they should accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and then follow the commandments and teachings of God. Mormons follow many of the traditions that other Christians do as well. Mormons believe in baptism, the laying on of hands, and have a strong missionary tradition. They celebrate Christmas and Easter. They meet together at church on Sunday to worship and participate in the 'Sacrament' (Communion or Lord's Supper). They use many of the same hymns and art as other Christian groups. Like most faiths, Mormons believe that they can recieve personal guidance through prayer. They also believe that God calls prophets to reveal His will on a larger scale. They promote strong moral values and provide charity and humanitarian work worldwide. Becase most Christians are happy with their religion and don't see the need to know details about other religions. Also what difference would it make if they did know? What another religion believes doesn't affect them at all.
Most religions believe that their religion is the only true religion. Mormon missionaries are trained to NOT condemn or attack other faiths, only to discuss their own. Mormon missionaries focus on what makes their religion true, rather than what makes other religions false. Mormons do not attack or condemn any other religion, believing that all religions have some truth and good that should be celebrated.
Some Christians believe that Satan actively battles for the souls of humans. If he wins, their souls go to hell. Islam has similar teachings. On the other hand, Jews believe that Satan is the loyal servant of God, whose role it is to test the righteousness of the faithful. So, although in Jewish belief we should not be tempted by Satan, this is not a battle for the soul but merely a test. Most other religions that believe in an afterlife believe that whether we do good or evil depends on free will, so it is fair that we be judged according to our own actions. Atheists believe that we do not have souls, so there can be no battle for the soul.
