Some of them do work but all the BLU ray discs are sure to work.
Never had a problem with any DVD that does not work on slim 120 GB PS3 including DVDs of TV shows I burned on my Media Center PC. They even look better on the PS3 than on my Sony DVD/VCR because they have been upgraded to near HD quality.
Both the PS2 and PS3 do
No except for early PS3 consoles that had 4 USB ports PS3 consoles can not play PS2 games.
PS3 games are DVDs and do not work on the Xbox 360 consoles regardless of the model type
they do but they will not play any new dvds that came out a year after the play station was made because the DVD dater has been changed and the play station will not be able to play any new dvds but it can still play all the old ones.
The PS3 will play Video DVDs
Yes the PS3 will upgrade the DVDs to near HD quality.
HD DVD players can only play HD DVDs whereas a PS3 can play standard and HD DVDs, as well as Blu-Ray discs. You would be better off with the PS3 as it can play games as well, if you ever want to play those, too.
yes :)
yes
No the Playstation does not play DVDs, only the PS2 and PS3 can play DVDs
No that is one of the PS3 consoles with 2 USB ports and part of the 3rd generation of PS3 consoles. Only the first 2 generations of PS3 consoles with 4 USB ports play PS2 games with backward compatiblity
The PS3 will play DVDs and Blu Ray video discs. It will upscale the DVD movies to HD.
