Well yes he does see Naruto and Sakura for another time but he didnt went back to konoha he just saw them. It was the first episode of naruto shippuuden i think and it was called Homecoming, Sai was the first one to see sasuke because he disturbed him from sleep and eventually he did something to the place(wasnt mentioned) and naruto,sakura rushed there, There they found sasuke while yamato fights with kabuto but then again sasuke escaped with kabuto and orochimaru.
