Yes, on certain occasions, Shinto priests lead ceremonies called matsuri. The most important matsuri is called the Great Purification Ceremony. It consists of people confessing their sins by every individual and also the sins of the whole nation. Then the people request to the kami (the basic force of everything) to remove the consequences of their sins. Other ceremonies focus on goals such as long life, peace, rich harvests, and health.
