in the wild hamsters will eat things like dandilion leafs, grass, clover they will eat common garden worms as well but if you have a pet i wouldn't really give them to it
geunipigs also eat some of the same things
Syrian dwarf hamsters eat the same thing as all other hamsters- seeds. Look in Walmart or pet stores for hamster food or hamster and gerbil food. They can also have some fruits and veggies, like strawberry, carrot, potato, etc.
Hope that helps!
A syrian hamster is always good on nuts which aren't cooked or baked, and without any salt. Miniscule peices of cheese and a tablespoon of hamster mix, this should provide a healthy diet for your hamster!
SYrian hamsters eat all types of fruits like
-Carrots
-Apples
-Bannana's
- etc.
If you put fruit in the hamsters cage be surre to change it out so it doesnt stink. For long lasting food go to a local petsmart or pet co. It will last way longer than fruit.
berries and cracked shell.

Around £10, that's how much I bought mine for.
Syria I would think, because most pet hamsters are Syrian Hamsters.
Syrian hamsters are the largest if you buy a baby Syrian hamster it will be tiny but when it is fully grown it will be huge. long haired Syrian hamsters are sometimes called teddy bear hamsters because they are so much like a teddy bear
WHY would you want to give a peppermint to a hamster???? Hamsters don't eat peppermints in the wild.
Hamsters are originally from South America After doing a report with my 2nd grade daughter we learned that it depends on the breed, but the come mostly from Asia. In particular Russia, China, Turkey and a lot of mention of Syria. The first domesticated hamsters were Syrian hamsters.
No Syrian hamsters live on their own. Dwarf hamsters eat insects they don't hunt.

No, Syrian Hamsters can be male or female.
Not all hamsters are vegetarians. The hamsters in the wild eat insects.
Yes, it's just another name of calling them:). As well as Golden Hamsters, Syrian hamsters are also sometimes referred to as teddy bear hamsters (long haired syrian hamsters), alien hamsters (hairless syrian hamsters), black bear or european black bear (black syrian hamsters). They are all variations in colour/coat of the same species of hamster. I believe all hamsters are from Syrian so they all have a common ancestry
long haired syrian hamsters have long hair... short haired syrian hamsters have short hair
Hamsters should eat a combination of both fresh and dry food. Dry food can be bought from the pet shop in a mix. Fresh food can be any fruit or vegatables. Hamsters tend to know when they should not eat something so you can try out different fruits and veg.
Nooo. The Syrian would eat the dwarf hamster before anything else happens.
