Most VCR/DVD combos come with a remote, and can be programmed to work with your TV remote.
no the remote has to come with the porable DVD player
i need a code for my rca rcr312 and it did not come with the codes
It would depend on the brand of remote that is being used. Just look at the instructions that come with the remote to find out how to properly set it up.
I know this tv can be programmed with just about any universal remote or cable remote the onoly problem I've come across is once i programmed the remote and tv if i try to turn the volume up or down the channel goes up or down
There isn't one. No one knows when the next remote will come out that will have the right code(s.) Apparently, Sylvania just screwed everyone with their latest line of televisions, and they cannot be programmed to ANY universal remote.
If ordered that way
This unit is basically the same as the D770 universal remote. You can download instructions from RCA at RCA.COM. The Only difference is there is no light below the ON/OFF button, the individual buttons will light, and when you hold down the device key and the on/off together all lights will come on.
you have to know the specific code for the dvd player you are using... it should come in the instructions that came withe the controller, or search online the code for it if you don't have the instructions! Hope it helped!
It comes with a remote and a nunchuk, but only one of each.
RM-810 remote instructions / manual can be downloaded from manufacturers website. Link is http://www.chunghop.com/en/products_view.asp?id=302. At bottom of this page is download instructions which will be in a zip file.
Here is a free site where you may check out remote control manuals. I have the exact same remote as you do. Here is the link: www.manualowl.com I hope this helps. This should solve problems and may come in handy for other devices as well.
The instructions that come with the unit explain how to do it. They vary from unit to unit, so there isn't a "pat" answer. If the instructions aren't available, the best bet is to search online for that remote's codes and instructions. The manufacturer of the remote usually has a support page with the instructions and the codes.
