I think that these marvelous birds make wonderful pets. They live a long life up to 15 years I've heard. They can be lound like any bird, but they can use their voice to learn words, phrases, and songs. They like warm weather, and might require a heat blanket in the winter if it gets very cold where you live. Overall I think these birds make wonderful pets.
