Yes I Would recommend Cocker Spaniels as good pets. They are very loyal to you, if you have the time for them as they like to be around people.
Do cocker spaniels get along with other Cocker spaniels?
Yes. they should do :) They are a lovely breed of dog. The only aggressive Cocker spaniels I have met are golden cockers. But if you've had a cocker spaniel for many years, and then decide to bring home a puppy, they might get a little jealous. So be careful. but if you get them the same time. it should be fine :) x

It is used as a hardy retriever of upland birds as well as water fowl. The Boykin Spaniel is popular in the Southern United States among bird hunters. In July 2005 the Boykin Spaniel Club of Breeders Assoc. of America was named by AKC as the official parent club. The Boykin Spaniel was an AKC FSS (Foundation Stock Service) breed for many years. == == == == The dog could possibly live outside, but living inside would be much better for it. Cocker Spaniels, like most dogs, need a good supply of water and food as well as a loving family. If you leave it outside, the dog will possibly freeze in the Winter or be very hot in the Summer. I am sure they can but most small dogs can not stand too much heat or too much cold.
