No. The collection of writings in what is called the New Testament were completed before 100 AD, as most scholars will agree with. The canonization or standard for divinely inspired text, was completed by the end of the 4th Century AD.

The Catholic Vulgate version of the Scripture was completed circa 385 AD and many other versions have since appeared.

Does the Catholic Bible include Leviticus?

Roman Catholic AnswerFunny thing about that, the Catholic Church wrote and approved the Bible, all approved Bibles are "Catholic Bibles". Without the Catholic Church there would be no Bible today. The only non-Catholic Bibles are protestant Bibles, and the only difference in them, is that they have removed some books from the Old Testament with which they did not agree. So, to answer your question, of course the Bible includes the book of Leviticus.

Are all meanings the same in the King James and Catholic bibles?

No, the King James Bible and Catholic Bible are not identical in terms of meanings. There are differences in translation choices, interpretation of certain passages, and inclusion of certain books. What is the availablity of Bibles in a Catholic church?

Roman Catholic AnswerIf you are talking in general, I would say very good. Most Catholic Churches have more than enough Bibles around for most needs. They are not used for Mass, as the readings are all contained in the Lectionary, nor are they used for the Offices, as the Readings are all contained in the Breviary. But most Churches have more than enough Bible for a local Bible study group, for use by RCIA classes, etc. Most people buy their Bibles at a bookstore.

What is the Roman Catholic Bible based on?

Roman is an epithet first commonly used in England after the protestant revolt to describe the Catholic Church. It is never used by the Catholic Church. There are many different Bible versions that Roman Catholics use. All of them are based on the highest academic scholarship and reflect the current understanding of the underlying and extant original language texts. The most well-known bible used by Roman Catholics is the Douay version, which is also the foundation for most subsequent Catholic versions of the Bible. All or most 'English translation' Bible are compiled from a variety of sources. The Douay (or Douay-Rheims) Bible is based on the Latin Vulgate, which is itself a translation from the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek of the original texts.Other Bibles such as theJerusalem Bible (JB)New Jerusalem Bible (NJB)New American Bible (NAB)Revised Standard Version (RSV) Catholic EditionNew Revised Standard Version (NRSV) Catholic Edition... are all 'Roman Catholic' Bibles. Yet, when compared with other Bibles, most readers will see very little difference, the details, doctrines and message being virtually identical in all Bibles, Catholic, Protestant or otherwise. For more information, see Related links below this box..Catholic AnswerThe Bible is based on God, Who is the author of Sacred Scripture. The Old Testament Scriptures are taken from the Septuagint, a Greek translation of the Bible in use during Our Blessed Lord's life on earth, most of the references in the New Testament are taken from the Septuagint. The New Testament is based on the Scriptures that were read in the Churches at Mass. The Church decided at Councils in the fourth and fifth centuries which books were truly inspired and belonged in the Bible, and which weren't.

Do all Bibles have maps?

Why is the Bible so complicated?

Not all Bibles are complicated. You can get Good news Bibles which simplify things but I think the best one is the Youth Bible. This explains things very well and has a guide at the beginning.

What is Roman Catholic Bible written in?

.Catholic AnswerRoman is an epithet first commonly used in England after the protestant revolt to describe the Catholic Church. It is never used by the Catholic Church. .The Catholic Bible was originally all in Greek, the Old Testament was the Septuagint, translated by the Jews in the fourth century (approximately) B.C., and the New Testament was written in Greek. The official Bible was established in the fourth century A.D. and translated into Latin by Jerome in order that the common people could have access to it. At that time, Latin was the standard language for anyone who could read and write. Later, the Church began translated the Bible into native languages for the people as they were no longer literate in Latin. The official Bible remains in Latin, to which all translations should adhere..I know you didn't ask, but "Roman Catholic Bible"? All Bibles are based on the Bible that the Catholic Church wrote, and approved. The only difference with non-Catholic Bibles is that they do not accept the Deuterocanonical books of the Old Testament, even though Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ used that version. The "protestant" New Testament would not exist if they hadn't taken it from the Catholic Church.
