true
An opaque object transmits very little light, and therefore reflects, scatters, or absorbs most of it.
A material that reflects or absorbs any light that strikes it is opaque.Tranlucent or transparent materials allow some or all light to pass through.
Opaque object.
Opaque
Be careful not to confuse: Opaque objects are those that do not allow light to pass through it, but they can reflect light. It is BLACK objects that absorb all the incident light on it. To conclude, opaque objects do not necessarily absorb all the incident light on them but black objects ABSORB all the incident light on them (and are, of course, opaque)

An opaque object does not reflect light. Opaque objects absorb light.

Opaque
An opaque object absorbs all the light that hits it. That's whythere's never any light left to come out of the other side.

Reflects, other wavelengths (colours) are absorbed.
Since it appears green in white light, it reflects the green part of the spectrum, absorbing all the other colors. In red light, it would not reflect any color, thus appearing black. Opaque objects absorb some of the light, and reflect the rest.

Actually, it depends on witch object it is. If the opaque object is brown, then that means the object absorbed most of the colors of the white light and reflects mostly the brown colors.
