A hair iron is relatively safe for hair. Certian different styles can be done with them, but there are several rules that go along with straightening hair with a flat iron:
- Only use flat iron once a day, only three times a weeks (5 days)
- NEVER straighten your eyelashes, EVER
- If you see smoke coming from the hair iron, don't use it on your hair, for it's too hot and will damage your hair, and burn it
- Don't repeatadly straighten same section of hair over and over again
- Make sure you're aware of how close the iron is to your hair
