Yes. An animal think only about this: eat, sleep, avoid predators, reproduce.

A human don't only think about this. He philosophize (questions like: what is the purpose of life?), practices art and understand it and entertain himself (sports, watching movies...)

They think about being loved and having a good home I know my dog will do anything to get to me if she is not by me she looks everywhere for me and when I'm sick she WILL NOT leave my side for anything unless I get up so most dogs all day think about there owner.
