No reptile needs light at night..same with humans..they need absolute dark to fully rest..if it is getting below thier minimum low temps (chameleons actually do better when temperatures drop at night ** 55 degrees is thier minimum**). do not use lights at night for reptiles..its a common mistake.
Depending on the LED, they can provide resources of the light spectrum that plants, coral and most salt water fish need to survive. I still prefer using fluorescent lights tho... even tho LED's look better, brighter and use less electricity.
